In his years overseeing The Winery Restaurant and Terrace Wine Bar at Peller Estates, Chef Jason Parsons has often looked across the vineyard toward Riverbend Inn and wondered, “What if?” As his Peller Estates kitchen garden expanded from a small plot to a 10-acre farm, Chef Parsons’ dream to reimagine the culinary program at Riverbend Inn also took root. That dream has become a reality when Chef Parsons and his talented culinary team launch their fresh take on Niagara French Bistro Cuisine at Oaklands Restaurant. Chef Parsons’ ingredient-driven dishes will shine the spotlight on an ever-changing lineup of freshly picked produce and thoughtfully sourced proteins. These seasonal superstars will be accompanied by a carefully curated cast of award-winning Niagara wines and creative cocktails. Simple but elegant. Beautifully executed without being overdone.

Our sister properties, The Winery Restaurant at Peller Estates and Trius Winery Restaurant, offer Lunch and Dinner daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. year-round.

Sunset Dinner Series
Join Chef Jason Parsons and his culinary team for the Sunset Dinner Series at Riverbend Inn & Vineyard.
Situated al fresco on our Garden Patio, this French-influenced interactive dinner starts with a sparkling reception, followed by a four-course tasting menu with wine pairings, all curated to reflect the theme of the dinner. Two wines from the themed region will be showcased, along with two from our Andrew Peller portfolio that represent the classic style of the region. Each dish is introduced by the Chef, and each wine is explained by our wine expert. Guests will receive a theme-related bottle of wine to take home at the end of this unforgettable experience.

Jason Parsons brings 35+ years of culinary experience from some of the world’s most renowned restaurants, and now guides the culinary brigade at both Peller Estates Winery and Riverbend Inn.
Recognized as one of Canada’s most distinguished chefs, Jason is inspired by the bounty of ingredients from Niagara’s farmers. Jason takes pride in combining his fine-dining experience with fresh, locally produced ingredients. He is a staple in the culinary industry and has inspired and changed the dining world in Canada and abroad.
Jason has been a Culinary Guest Expert on the popular TV show CityLine for 20+ years, entertaining and informing viewers across Canada.
